Dr Boy van Rensburg

William Tobias (Boy) Janse van Rensburg
28.12.1963 – 22.02.2024

Sir Isaac Newton, in 1675, stated: "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants".

Most people who had the privilege of knowing Boy can vouch that he was a "giant" in the sense that he enjoyed helping people achieve their dreams and was always there to lend an ear - and support - where it was needed.

Boy was a peace-loving, humble person whose family, friends, church and community were his foremost priorities.

In twenty years he built up the business of Aloe Motors, where only bare necessities were in place, to the formidable business it is today, directly and indirectly contributing to the well-being of many Albertinians, who are employed by the various businesses on the premises.

Boy lived a healthy life until the “Big C” impacted his life. He would regularly run about 5 Km daily and loved to visit the family's seaside farm where he and the family often slept in the open air.

The church was packed at his memorial service, with family and friends paying their last respects to a man who was highly regarded as the “go to person” if anyone had a problem. Boy always had time to listen and offer advice - or - support.

Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of the USA stated: "Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories". That is indeed true for Boy, who has left behind a grieving family, friends and associates, but they all have beautiful memories of this incredible man who was a fantastic husband, father, brother and friend. We will remember him !
